Veneers are very thin ceramic coatings (0.5 mm) that are attached to the front surface of the teeth to beautify your smile sustainably.
Candidates for Veneers
Ceramic veneers can correct sustainably:
- Intrinsic, or deep stains, that can not be treated by simple bleaching.
- Slight misalignments or dental congestion.
- Abnormally shaped teeth (crowding or fractured).
- Tooth wear and caries restored with unsightly composite resin restorations.
With the “three appointments”, you will have a new smile:
During the consultation, your dentist will provide you a view of future result using provisional resins placed on your teeth.
Upon your agreement to the treatment plan, your dentist will reshape and prepare the front surfaces of your teeth by removing a thin layer of enamel (0.2 to 0.5mm). The procedure is free of pain.
An impression of the prepared teeth is taken and sent to the authorized laboratory enclosed with instructions for the color and the shape you want.
Ceramic veneers are available a few days later. Once fitted, they will be permanently cemented on your teeth.
This technique is very reliable thanks to the use of highly resistant adhesives and vitrified ceramic material, allowing for permanent maintenance overtime.
